Delta CW/CWU close control air conditioning units provide precise and reliable control of indoor temperature, humidity, and airflow for proper operation of electronic equipment in the data centers and other critical applications.
The customers may select from down or top air discharge designs, enclosures with integrated fans or detachable underfloor fan compartment, as well as from models with regular (10-150kW) or enlarged (15-200kW) heat exchangers. Delta CW/CWU units are available in single or dual water circuit design.

Delta CW/CWU features the radial fans with unique blade geometry and offers increased airflow by smaller size and wider efficiency range.
In combination with EC-motors with integrated control functionality, a communication interface, and overtemperature protection, these fans provide unbeatable energy efficiency, maximum flexibility, and the lowest possible sound emission.
The EC motor technology provides significant savings at both full-load and part-load operation. Delta’s EC-motors are maintenance free and have a longer lifetime in comparison to brushed motors.
AVAILABLE IN STANDARD AND HIGH-PERFORMANCE DESIGNS
Delta CW/CWU family features fin-tube heat exchangers with small-diameter inner grooved copper tubes and aluminium fins.
Inner grooving increases the internal surface space, while the groove’s torsion promotes turbulent flow, improved cooling media mixing, and eliminate cooling media mal-distribution, resulting in improved heat exchanger performance.
The fin geometry has been optimized to achieve improved heat transfer while retaining low airside pressure drops. The laboratory experiments showed that heat exchanger coils manufactured using small-diameter tubing reduced tube weight by 35%, fin weight by 30%, and lowered internal coil volume by 40% compared to the previous generation.
The unit construction allows easy access to the heat exchanger for maintenance and cleaning.

PRECISE FLOW AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Delta's chilled water circuit includes smart balancing system based on continuous pressure drop measurements on return and bypass lines.
Depending on these measurements, the unit controller adjusts two-way valves and maintains necessary cooling media flow thru the cooling coils, thus avoiding manual fluid circuit balancing.
Automatic balancing system fits ideally for variable flow chilled water systems. Water circuit with a 3-way regulating valve for constant flow chilled water systems available as an option.
The control system of Delta CW/CWU air conditioners is the latest generation controller with the logic specially developed for chilled water precision cooling units.
Users can adopt various control strategies based on either continuous temperature control, or on-demand airflow control, or constant pressure control by maintaining a pressure differential between the cold and hot aisles.
Wide choice of options and accessories are available to choose from, giving our customers the possibility to tailor make the Delta CW/CWU system to create the cooling solution they require.
Advanced control software features with network connectivity interfaces and flexible system management - either local or remote - by connecting the cooling units to the BMS network for coordinated operation and sharing the heat load.
