Low-charge microchannel coils
Borrum condensers feature the specialized heat exchangers, engineered primarily to reduce the amount of refrigerant needed for charging, operating costs, and environmental impact. These microchannel coils are optimized for new generation low-GWP refrigerants and display noticeable higher heat transfer rates compared to those of regular design.
The long-life aluminium alloy used for manufacturing exhibits excellent corrosion resistance properties proven by the SWAAT tests.
Economical EC-motor fans
Size, weight, longevity, efficiency have all contributed to select EC fans as a standard for Borrum condensers. EC motors deliver efficiency in the narrow range from 80% to 90%, as opposed to broad efficiency range of 35-60% for AC motors, especially when operating at less than full load. This translates to significant power savings and application flexibility.
Borrum units offer fan speed management in the application using a 0~10V/PWM or 4~20mA input signal to the motor. The fans also provide a soft start and reduced running noise.
