DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR R410A-DESIGNED SYSTEMS

Refrigerant R454b is a mildly flammable low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant to replace R410a in new equipment designs. R454b offers properties similar to R410a, which makes it easy and cost-effective to apply to new equipment without major modifications. R454b is a zeotropic blend of 68.9 percent difluoromethane (R32), a hydrofluorocarbon, and 31.1 percent 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (R1234yf), a hydrofluoroolefin.

Ideal for direct expansion air conditioning, chillers, and heat pumps, it balances environmental sustainability with performance. With properties closely resembling R410a, R454b allows for an easy and cost-effective transition in new equipment designs, requiring minimal modifications while ensuring compliance with evolving environmental regulations.
