Kaltra to announce the updated Lightstream Screw air-cooled chiller family
Kaltra is excited to announce the launch of the updated lineup of Lighstream Screw chillers based on fixed-speed or inverter-driven compact screw compressors, which have been improved to perform efficiently and optimally under every climatic condition.
New Lightstream Screw design features W-shaped microchannel condensers with 15% larger heat transfer surface, resulting in improved energy efficiency and noise reduction compared with its predecessors.
Enhanced two-pass flooded evaporators used in Lightstream Screw chillers are characterized by closer approach temperatures and lower waterside pressure drops than before.
As a result of these improvements, the new Lighstream Screw chillers offer higher seasonal energy efficiency (ESEER) of 4.45 for the chillers with fixed-speed compressors and 5.75 for inverter-driven models.
For the efficient operation of multiple Lightstream chillers on a single chilled water plant, Kaltra offers a sequence management system that permits interlinked operation of the chillers, thereby providing precise temperature control and optimized power consumption for the cooling plant.
Lightstream Screw chillers are designed for critical applications and process cooling and intended for all year round operation in any climate zone at ambient temperatures of up to 55°С.
