Automatic core builder

Kaltra accelerates factory automation with new core builders and CAB furnace expansion

Kaltra has taken another major step in modernizing its manufacturing operations with the deployment of fully automatic core builders for microchannel heat exchanger production. These next-generation systems operate in a programmable automatic mode, enabling high-precision coil assembly, improved build consistency, and significantly increased output.

At the same time, Kaltra has installed a new CAB (Controlled Atmosphere Brazing) furnace, now entering the final stages of commissioning. The additional brazing capacity allows for greater production flexibility, faster order fulfillment, and further optimization of thermal performance and joint integrity.

These upgrades are part of a broader transformation strategy at Kaltra, where one factory improvement follows another at maximum speed. The company is rapidly deploying new technology to meet growing global demand and further strengthen its position as a quality and innovation leader in microchannel heat exchanger manufacturing.

“We are in the midst of a fast-paced upgrade cycle,” said Lukas Engelhardt, Business Development Officer at Kaltra. “From design to assembly, we’re automating our processes to achieve top-tier efficiency and unmatched product consistency—delivering more value to our customers with every coil we produce.”

Key benefits of the new automation:

  • Fully automatic coil core assembly for repeatable high-quality builds
  • Precision brazing through enhanced CAB furnace technology
  • Increased production capacity and reduced lead times
  • Improved dimensional accuracy and joint reliability
  • Reduced manual labor and enhanced operational safety

With millions of coils in service worldwide, Kaltra continues to invest aggressively in advanced manufacturing systems, reinforcing its commitment to product quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
