Kaltra further expands its manufacturing capacity
To address the growing number of orders for microchannel heat exchangers that come last quarters and in response to the increased sophistication and complexity of our customers’ requirements, Kaltra reinforces its manufacturing capabilities by investing in additional production machinery.
High two-digit increase in MCHE sales entails the need for production expansion, and Kaltra reacted immediately with additional machinery, including core builders with bulk-hopper type automated tube loading systems, fin mills with high-precision louver slitting forming rolls, ultrasonic cleaning machines, extruders and test equipment that will be installed in February 2022, increasing production capacity by 20%.
New production equipment is suitable for manufacturing microchannel condenser coils and evaporators with dimensions from 150 to 3000mm and up to 200 multi-port tubes per assembly. Internal commissioning of new machinery will go ahead as planned at the end of Q1 2022.
