Free cooling chiller

Kaltra modernizes Ultracompact II chiller to add a new free cooling system

Following the market success of Ultracompact II, Kaltra modernized its free cooling version. The revised free cooling system now includes double-regulating valves and a 3-way mixing valve for precise water temperature control in free cooling operation.

Optionally, new free cooling chillers can be supplied with hydronic modules, with single or twin inline pumps driven either by fixed-speed or inverter motors. Hydronic modules can be completed with buffer tanks and integrated safety devices, and mesh-type strainer.

The updated Ultracompact II Freecool model displays 10-percent higher seasonal energy efficiency and optimized performance in free cooling operation.

Furthermore, Ultracompact II Freecool was upgraded with new control software and delivers enhanced features and functions for improved energy management and system health monitoring.

The refrigerant charge was also reduced by 25% thanks to new microchannel condensers used in the chiller design.

Ultracompact II Freecool chillers are immediately available for orders.
