Kaltra begins production of dry coolers with stainless steel heat exchangers

In Q3 2022, Kaltra extended its range of flatbed Mistral-F dry coolers by introducing models equipped with new finned-pack heat exchangers with stainless steel tubes and aluminum fins.

Heat exchanger tubes are made from AISI 316(L – low carbon content), European equivalent is 1.4401, stainless steel grade with austenitic microstructure characterized by high tensile strength, good performance at high and low temperatures, and excellent corrosion performance (PREN number is as high as 30.5) thanks to considerable addition of molybdenum which contributes to increased resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in salty, acidic, chloride and sulfur environments.

Mistral-F dry cooler range with stainless steel heat exchanger tubes targeted applications in hygienic environments, medical, food, beverage, and wherever corrosion resistance is required. The series also includes low-noise configurations with lowered fan speeds suitable for installations in urban and other noise-sensitive areas.

Currently, the available lineup includes 10 models in flatbed design, configured for vertical or horizontal airflow, that can be equipped with EC- or AC-driven axial fans. Optionals include speed controllers, adiabatic spray systems, and models for 60Hz supplies. In Q1 2023, the lineup will be extended with 20 new high-performance models.
